The French Birdcage - i121 Kit

A classic French palette of red thread on natural linen is used to create this stunning etui, fashioned in the guise of an elegant, hexagonal cage displaying an assortment of birds
that are worked with Sorbello knots.

The actual contents are rather more practical and include a dainty pincushion cube, needlebook, scissor sheath and fob, and handy pouches for a thimble and stiletto.

Tasseled cords are used to draw the etui closed and finish some of the stitching accessories.

Substitution Notification: In this kit, a substitute for the cotton lining fabric has been made. Please see image in gallery for more details.
