Description
Found from Siberia to Europe and up to 1,200 metres in the Himalayas, this bright yellow butterfly has a widespread habitat.
They avoid dense forests and can be seen flying low over meadows and along ridges, patrolling in search of females.
Males also visit wet areas and both males and females are fond of fragrant flowers.
