Description

With a wide habitat from north-east India down into Indonesia, this butterfly prefers dense forest at low elevation, usually at the base of hills, but can fly up to 1,000 metres.

It feeds on over-ripe fruit, tree sap and animal dung but also likes mud-puddling and will feed on a variety of plants.
