Description
Softly shaded petals in subtle blues, dusky mauves and gentle pinks are worked with surface embroidery and stumpwork and are cleverly arranged to form the flowerhead on a spectacular stem of hydrangea.
Stranded cotton in solid and variegated colours is used to stitch the petals, leaves and stems and glass seed beads add a little sparkle at the centre of each flower.
Stitched onto ivory linen, a pair of fallen petals completes the design.
