Description
Soft winter white linen contrasts with the rich garnet thread used to stitch this stylish table mat and biscornu pincushion.
Worked primarily with double running stitch, a lacy grid surrounds the centre panel on the mat, edged on each side with a line of Italian four-sided stitch while a more ornate motif is worked onto the pincushion using the same techniques.
The biscornu hangs from a twisted cord, enabling it to also be used as a scissor fob, and a subtle picot edge finishes the mat.
