Small, pastel-coloured flowers add softness and delicacy to the garden, providing a gentle contrast to larger and more strongly coloured blossoms.
Shades of cranberry, fuchsia and tea rose are used to stitch the spherical heads of chives, rising above their strappy leaves and the daisy-like flowers and ferny foliage of chamomile.
Both plants are useful herbs in the kitchen and are a charming addition to flower beds or the vegetable patch.
