Description
Stitched using 19 different shades of filament silks onto a square of red-orange silk taffeta, the contrast of the yellow cosmos petals are striking against the textured appearance of the vivid red-orange background, all of which was chosen as a perfect study in the application of Random Stitch Embroidery.
SPECIAL NOTE | Instructions for this project are included in the book ‘The Art of Chinese Embroidery 2 | Intermediate Level’, however some prior knowledge is assumed based on techniques presented in ‘The Art of Chinese Embroidery 1 | Foundation Level’, therefore depending on your familiarity with Chinese Embroidery, both books may be required for reference.
