Description
This beautifully delicate three dimensional daffodil is worked as individual Carrickmacross elements which are then cut out and assembled onto the background fabric.
On the petals and trumpet of the daffodil, areas of the organdie are carefully cut away, and the net remaining in these areas is worked with a variety of decorative embroidery stitches.
One of the leaves in this design is worked with blanket stitch bars and then both the organdie and the net are cut away from behind them, leaving a lacy central leaf vein.
