More about this digital file
Description
A symbol of love, loyalty and resilience, the sturdy sunflower brings a little joy wherever it appears with vibrant yellow petals surrounding a warm brown centre.
Used here to decorate a hexagonal box, the flowers are worked with simple, stitched outlines on the sides and with a combination of surface embroidery and stumpwork on the lid.
Stitched onto natural linen blend with stranded cotton threads, yellow, orange and red ladybirds add extra pops of colour to this delightful container.
