Small Wonders

"I was inspired to work this beetle as the colours suggested old copper which had been exposed to the elements. I had recently discovered this lovely copper passing thread and it seemed perfect to use. The passing thread is smooth, but not too shiny so it tones well with the green. When I'm starting a new piece it almost takes me longer to choose the colours than it does to stitch the piece, but once that is done, I'm away stitching for hours! Or Nué is very addictive - I find myself saying 'just one more round' and the next thing it is midnight, so beware!" - Jo
