More about this digital file
Description
With a history stretching back to ancient times, Kantha embroidery has been used to decorate clothing and home furnishings in the eastern part of India, previously known as Bengal, for centuries.
Worked with a rainbow of shaded silk threads and using the clever variations of running stitch that are typical of this technique, this delightful Tree of Life design includes three colourful parrots, resting amongst a profusion of flowers and ornate leaves.
