Description
Echoing the elegance of Art Deco design from the 1920s and ‘30s, this delicate sachet is worked using Hardanger techniques on a low-count linen with two weights of perlé cotton thread.
A lacy edge finishes the zigzag hem below the alternating bands of cutwork and plain fabric and the upper edge of the design is filled with double cable stitch diamonds, each one holding a stepped satin stitch border around a Maltese cross filling stitch.
Blanket stitch finishes the remaining edges and and tiny bullion loops decorate the side seams.
