Description
The papery seed pods of the honesty plant have delighted children for centuries, the silvery discs resembling coins, but here they form the perfect foil for their own flowers and the cheery faces of heartsease.
Worked in a combination of surface embroidery and stumpwork with silk, cotton and viscose threads, the lifelike flowers, pods and leaves are joined by a buff-tailed bumble bee and a tiny red ladybird.
