Turning the traditional band sampler layout 90 degrees, Betsy has gathered together a collection of beautiful motifs and stitched them onto cream linen with her favourite stitches and threads.

The bands of stitching include luscious strawberries, acorns and oak leaves, various flowers and charming figures interspersed between rows of colourful Bargello, a twirling blue ribbon and whitework.

Stitched with hand-dyed Gloriana silk threads, the sampler is anchored at one end with a spectacular floral motif featuring a rose, yellow heartsease and acorns.
