More about this digital file
Description
The exquisite delicacy of Chinese embroidery is captured in this study of hibiscus, a flower often featured in Chinese art and literature.
With a limited palette of only seven shades of red and three of grey on ivory silk taffeta, random stitch embroidery techniques are employed to replicate the gentle beauty of Chinese brush painting.
Worked using filament silk, the fineness of the thread and careful stitch placement enables perfect replication of the artist’s skill.
