More about this digital file
Description
The heart is a popular motif in Hardanger embroidery, being well suited to the design constraints of this geometric style of embroidery.
Worked in the traditional white on white palette, this charming, rectangular mat features a border of hearts around the outer edge and a central design also using two rows of hearts, touching along the centre, and the resulting diamond shapes.
Three weights of snowy white perlé cotton are used and the mat is finished with a pretty picot hem.
