Handpicked is a collection of new projects available exclusively as individual patterns.

Our latest Handpicked project is ‘Aquile’ by Maria Rita Faleri, an ancient symbol, worked with ivory thread onto natural linen, to create a wonderfully contemporary cushion cover.

The noble eagle, an ageless symbol of strength, courage, freedom and immortality, is cleverly stylised to create a repeated motif on this elegant cushion cover.

Worked in Catherine de’ Medici stitch, this powerful bird is transformed into a delicate, lace-like pattern, accompanied by zigzag lines, smaller birds and floral motifs.

Stitched onto Burratto linen with a sparse thread count of six threads per centimetre, the cushion cover is finished with a blanket stitch picot hem.

The instructions for ‘Aquile’ are now available to purchase as a printed pattern which we’ll post to you anywhere in the world, or you can buy it as a digital pattern to download instantly.
